NRI & cross-border in Bhosari, Pune
Indian obligations for people and businesses outside India, handled remotely with the care that residency and source of income require.
NRI & cross-border in Pune
An NRI or OCI with income in India, from rent, deposits, dividends, a property sale or a business still running here, usually has an Indian return to file, tax deducted at source to reconcile, and questions on residential status, DTAA relief and repatriation. The firm handles residential status, the return itself, lower-deduction certificates where TDS at the non-resident rate is excessive, and Forms 145 and 146 (earlier 15CA and 15CB) for remittances abroad. Capital gains on property sold by a non-resident, where the buyer must deduct tax, are a common engagement.
For businesses in the Gulf region that process the personal data of people in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 brings obligations on notice, consent, security and breach reporting that reach outside India. The firm reviews the India-facing processing, maps it against the Act and the rules notified under it, and sets out what must change. This is an informational review by a chartered accountant, not legal representation.
All of this is done by email, shared folders and video calls, with documents exchanged through a channel agreed at the start.

Common questions
Do I need to file an Indian return as an NRI?
If your Indian income exceeds the basic exemption limit, or if you want a refund of tax deducted at source, yes. Many NRIs have TDS deducted at higher rates on rent or interest and recover it only by filing.
What is Form 146 (earlier Form 15CB)?
A chartered accountant's certificate that tax has been considered on a payment being remitted outside India. It accompanies Form 145 (earlier Form 15CA), which the remitter files, and the bank asks for both before releasing the funds.
Does the DPDP Act apply to a company in Dubai?
It applies to the processing of personal data outside India if it is connected to offering goods or services to people in India. Whether your activity falls within that is the first question the review answers.
What is the new name for Form 15CA?
Under the Income-tax Rules, 2026, Form 15CA is Form 145 and Form 15CB is Form 146. Many banks and clients still use the old names.
